Kid’s Corner

Weekly Story & Craft Time:

Every Friday at 10:30 am we hold a fun-filled Story & Craft Time for our younger patrons. We read stories, do some singing & dancing around, we have some fun with bubbles, and then we provide a craft for everyone. The ages that attend range from our littlest ones upwards to just under 10 years old, but all kids are welcome.

Summer Programs:

Teen Movie Afternoon:

Springtown Public Library is excited to host a Teen Movie Afternoon for our older kids. It is typically be on the last Saturday of the month, with the doors opening at 2:30 pm. The event is free and the movies will range in rating up to PG-13. You can call or message us to guess what movie will be showing each month, we will post clues online to help you out. As an added treat we often have pizza, sweets, etc!

Homeschool Group:

The Springtown Public Library is happy to provide a meeting place for a local homeschool group. They host a book club for young readers ages 5-18 years old (siblings welcome) with an additional show and tell time.

Each week a family will sign up with the group to ‘host’ the book club in the children’s area. The ‘host’ family will organize an ice breaker/game and then read one or two children’s picture books to the group. After the readings each student present (not just the ‘host’ family) is welcome to share one small Show-and-Tell item. Students can tell two to three sentences about their item and take questions if there is enough time.

Any families that want to attend are welcome and the Springtown Public Library can provide contact information for the group if needed.
